Description
This Colt Single Action Army “Peacemaker Centennial” was manufactured in 1973 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the legendary 1873 Colt SAA revolver. Built to replicate the classic U.S. Cavalry-issued sidearm, this limited-edition model blends historic authenticity with collector-grade presentation.
Featuring a blackpowder frame, case-hardened frame and hammer, and deep blued barrel and cylinder, it carries all the hallmarks of the original cavalry revolvers. The 7 ½-inch barrel is fitted with the proper high blade front sight and donut-style ejector rod head, while military-style inspector markings and a “U.S.” frame stamp highlight its faithful detailing. The one-piece walnut grips feature cartouches on both sides, adding to the historical reproduction quality.
Housed in a fitted hardwood display chest with burgundy interior and glass lid, this revolver is more than a firearm—it’s a piece of American heritage. Collectors will appreciate its craftsmanship, authenticity, and condition, making it a desirable 2nd generation Colt Single Action Army.
